Vaudeville Man
My Father and his sister were Vaudeville performers in the 1920’s. They traveled the country doing their act which had my Dad, Al Blum, as “He Man” strongly dancing around my aunt Gussy, who was made up as “Raggity Ann”. This act would be very politically incorrect today. Aunt Gussy left the act after a few years and married a rich doctor. Al was left to figure out his career on the road. My life is strangely parallel to this story. Always in a state of re-invention. Tom Huebner of the Real Deal wrote some very nice lyrics for this tune, after I told him my dad’s story. Thanks Tom.
Thanks to all are news fans for making us #10 on Reverbnation!
